Lake Almanor Caution notice - harmful algae may be present. Do not use, drink or swim at the following locaitons: Marvin Alexander Beach, Canyon Dam Day Use/Boat Launch, Rocky Point Campground and Almanor Campground. HIGHWAY 70 CLOSURE PG&E's Belden Day Use Area in the Feather River Canyon along Hwy 70 will be closed to public access beginning March 15, 2018 through approximately December 31, 2020 due to a highway project by Caltrans that proposes to reconstruct the Hwy 70 bridge over Yellow Creek. For highway project information please contact the Caltrans Public Information Officer at D2PIO@dot.ca.gov Frequently Asked Questions! What is the 14 day maximum stay rule? The maximum stay in any campground is 14 days. The campsite must be vacated by the 11:00 a.m. check-out time. What is the cancellation / change policies? Cancellation Policy: The cancellation fee is $15.00 per site. Reservations that are cancelled within 7 days of the scheduled check-in are non-refundable. Change Policy: Changes to the reservation are not allowed within 3 business days of the scheduled check-in date and are subject to a minimum $10 change fee. Reservations and their associated fees are non-transferable to other campsites within the campground or to other recreational facilities. If an emergency or natural disaster forces the closure of a campground, we will attempt to notify you as early as possible and refund all camping fees. No, First-Come First-Served sites are non-reservable and cannot be secured prior to your arrival at the campground. It is suggested that you arrive early in the day to secure your campsite, as there are no guarantees of availability. What if I don't have an account? Create an account for easy access to your reservations.  Go to "My Account" at the top/right of the page to set up an account using your email address and password. Can I bring my pet? Yes, dogs and other pets are welcome! Dogs and other pets must be under owners' physical control at all times and must not disturb other campers. It is the owner's responsibility to clean up after your pet and properly dispose of waste in trash receptacle. Campers with unreasonably noisy dogs/pets may be asked to leave, to ensure an enjoyable experience for all campers. Furthermore, pets may not be left alone at the campsite or in any vehicles. Cookie Settings What FIRE RESTRICTIONS are in place because of wildfire risk? Open flames are NOT allowed at PG&E campgrounds - this INCLUDES FIRE RINGS. NOT ALLOWED at any time or under any Fire Index Rating - Use of fireworks and other pyrotechnic devices - Use of chainsaws, firearms, air rifles, or gas guns - Use of explosives, any open flame outside of designated fire rings or BBQs (e.g. non-designated fire rings, tiki torches, etc.) - Driving vehicles off designated roads - Parking vehicles outside designated parking areas Wildfire risk mitigation measures for allowed activities (subject to applicable fire index rating) The following must have at least 10 feet of clearance from vegetation and flammable materials: - Fires (allowed in designated structures only, must be supervised at all times and be fully extinguished prior to leaving the site) - Charcoal grills and generators The following must have at least 3 feet of clearance from vegetation and flammable materials: - Petroleum and liquid petroleum gas devices - Battery powered devices, cord powered devices and power cords - Smoking (must have a butt receptacle and a bucket of water) - Citronella candles (no other types of candles are allowed) Fire Index Rating based restrictions When the Fire Index Rating is R4 ( Very High ): Use of charcoal grills will be prohibited.
